The Consolidated B-24D Liberator was an American heavy bomber used extensively by the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, serving from 1941 onwards and becoming one of the most produced aircraft of the war. It was known for its long range, high altitude capability, and versatility, playing a crucial role in strategic bombing campaigns against Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.
