The Centurion ARV (Armored Recovery Vehicle) was a British-designed tank recovery and repair vehicle based on the Centurion tank chassis, used from the 1950s onward by British and Commonwealth forces to retrieve and maintain disabled tanks on the battlefield. The late-variant ARV-7 model, equipped with distinctive side skirts for added protection, saw service particularly during the Cold War era and became renowned for its reliability and effectiveness in supporting armored operations across multiple conflicts.
