The Centurion ARV (Armoured Recovery Vehicle) was a British heavy recovery vehicle developed in the 1950s based on the Centurion tank chassis, serving with NATO forces throughout the Cold War era and becoming renowned for its exceptional towing capacity and ability to recover disabled tanks from the battlefield. The ARV-7 variant, introduced in the 1960s, featured enhanced winch systems and remained in service with various military forces well into the late 20th century.
