The CAC Wirraway was an Australian fighter-trainer aircraft manufactured by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, first flying in 1939 and serving extensively during World War II in roles including fighter combat, ground attack, and reconnaissance. It became an iconic symbol of Australian aviation capability and was the first aircraft to be designed and built in Australia for military service.
