The BTR-70 was a Soviet 8-wheeled armored personnel carrier produced from 1971 onwards and widely used by Soviet and allied forces throughout the Cold War and beyond, known for its amphibious capability and reliable design in various regional conflicts. The GL variant featured an enhanced turret with improved firepower and was employed by numerous nations' military forces during the late Cold War period and subsequent conflicts.
