The BTR-40P was a Soviet armored personnel carrier developed in the late 1940s and widely used throughout the 1950s-1960s, featuring an open-top design with machine gun armament for transport and fire support. It became one of the most widely exported Soviet vehicles of the early Cold War era, seeing service in numerous allied nations and regional conflicts.
