The BTR-40B was a Soviet armored personnel carrier developed in the 1950s as an improved variant of the original BTR-40, featuring enhanced firepower and better armor protection for transporting troops and reconnaissance missions. It saw extensive service with Soviet and allied forces throughout the Cold War era and became one of the most widely exported Soviet vehicles of its time.
