The BTR-40 was a Soviet 6-wheeled armored personnel carrier produced from 1950 to 1966, widely used by Soviet and allied forces during the Cold War for transport and reconnaissance missions. It became one of the most proliferated APCs of its era, renowned for its reliability and simple design, and saw service across multiple continents including Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
