The BT-7A was a Soviet fast tank produced in the late 1930s, serving as an improved variant of the BT-7 with enhanced armor and firepower, and saw significant combat during the Finnish Winter War and the early stages of Operation Barbarossa. It was known for its exceptional speed and maneuverability, which made it one of the fastest tanks of its era despite being largely obsolete by the time of the German invasion in 1941.
