The Bergepanzer III was a German armored recovery vehicle developed during World War II, based on the Panzer III tank chassis and equipped with a crane and winch system for recovering damaged or disabled vehicles from the battlefield. It remained in service with various armed forces well into the Cold War era and became one of the most widely used armored recovery vehicles of the mid-20th century.
