The Arado Ar-234 was a German jet-powered reconnaissance and bomber aircraft that first flew in 1943 and saw limited operational service in the final months of World War II, becoming the world's first jet-powered bomber to enter combat. It was renowned for its speed and high altitude performance, which made it difficult for Allied fighters to intercept during reconnaissance missions over Europe.
