The Aichi B7A Ryusei (Shooting Star) was a Japanese carrier-based dive bomber developed during World War II that first saw combat in 1944, known for its high speed and dive-bombing capabilities as an intended successor to the Val. The aircraft served primarily in the final year of the war with the Imperial Japanese Navy before Japan's surrender in 1945.
