The AEC Deacon was a British self-propelled gun developed during World War II, based on the AEC Matador chassis and armed with a 6-pounder anti-tank gun mounted in an open superstructure. Introduced in 1942, it saw limited service primarily with British forces in North Africa and the Mediterranean theater, where it was valued for its mobility and firepower against German armor.
